FEES
From November 1st 2025, the doctors consulting at Kallista Medical Centre have decided to trial routinely Bulk Billing all patients for consultation items that attract the new government incentive. Private fees will still apply for some services such as procedures (fees as outlined below).
Each doctor is an individual consultant and are at liberty to set their own private fees that may differ.
Changing Appointments: Should you wish to change an appointment, we would appreciate as much notice as possible so that other patients can be offered your time. A non-rebatable fee will apply if you miss a confirmed appointment, without adequate notice.
Scripts:
Procedures:
A fee between $90-300 out of pocket applies for use of the treatment room for procedures such as removal of foreign body, skin lesions, IUD, suturing etc. This gap is dependent on the procedure so please ensure you discuss with your doctor before the procedure. This fee is to cover the costs of equipment, sutures, dressing, sterilizing and doctor and nurse's time.
Overdue Accounts:
If your account is overdue for more than 30 days, please advise us of the delay. As we are now linked to Easyclaims, your refund is available immediately into your EFTPOS account or via HIC On-Line deposited to the account registered with Medicare within 1-2 days. Medicare cheques are only issued to the Doctor for unpaid accounts, usually within 21 days of consultation. If you haven’t received our cheque within this time, it is your responsibility to contact Medicare.
